With a style evolving from UK grime, the Modern Day Pirates (MDP) are bringing a fresh sound to the scene. Having grown up in poverty-stricken areas around the North of the UK, the MDP twins are using their music to shed light on their experiences of mental health and drug abuse.
The Manchester duo were featured in a Boiler Room x LeviStrauss & Co. documentary and NME magazine and have since secured many high profile bookings around the UK and abroad.
Their latest single ‘Narcotics’ is a collaboration with local producer Mattu and touches sensitive topics such as drug use and depression.
