Covid19 Legislation and police conduct (Part 2)

What are ‘Police Regulations’

The College of Policing have issued their own regulations. Once again the police appear to be suggesting that their internal regulations are enforceable in law.

The only regulations enforceable in law and by a judicial body are statutory Regulations, not ones made by the police.

It appears there will be ongoing controversy over police going beyond law & purporting to ‘enforce’ govt guidance or PM pronouncements.

It maybe that the College of Police think our communities are not well equipped to analyse what they are circulating in an attempt to “cover up” the actions of the police state.

“This is what a police state is like. It’s a state in which the government can issue orders or express preferences with no legal authority and the police will enforce ministers’ wishes.”

If the police continue down this path, there is an increased risk the communities will disengage, this may give rise to peaceful civil disobedience and direct action.

Working class communities understand the reason and need for social distancing. We shown our support for all front line workers.

We don’t require oppressive and confrontational policing of our communities.

Our liberty is not negotiable, it will not be surrendered willingly to a fascist regime.
