On the weekend of the 8th February, anti-fascists from across Europe once again gathered in Manchester to show solidarity with martyrs and imprisoned comrades around the world. People from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England attended the weekend. RMF would also like to thank in particular the dozens of comrades who came over from Catalonia to participate in the march and the martial arts tournament.
Saturday saw a march in south Manchester that celebrated the lives of fallen anti-fascists and anti-imperialists. Not only was the march well attended, but the reception from the neighborhoods it passed through was positive and engaging. Many local residents cheered the march on, and marchers and residents discussed anti-fascism and those who have given their lives in the struggle.

On Sunday there was a martial arts tournament featuring Boxing, Muay Thai and MMA. Fighters from several different gyms and communities from around the UK and Europe took part. The tournament was well fought and all done in the name of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

Remembering Means Fighting has once again been a huge success. The event has not only been an important point of remembrance for those who have fallen in the fight against fascism and imperialism, but has also served to strengthen the ties between comrades in the UK and abroad. International solidarity and a unified movement will ensure the fight goes on!
